For five days, the artists David Maurity, Edgar Kanaykõ Xakriabá, Fredda Amorim, Idylla Silmarovi, Juão Nyn, Rafael Bacelar and Vina Amorim, members of the Ka’adela Platform, share their process of artistic creation with the participants.
Based on the central axes with which the group works – such as the occupation of urban space, the de-hierarchization of the languages of the scene, the masking of oneself and monuments, the destitution of monuments and the foundation of others –, the meeting proposes the creation and presentation, during the Bienal Sesc de Dança, of the performance “KA’ADELA – CounterAttack Collective Action”.
The desire of the collective is to occupy the streets and monuments with people interested in acting. It is an invitation to look at the city as an open-air colonial art museum and, from there, to counterattack its symbols.
Performance presentation on 9/20 and 9/21, at 4:30 pm, at the Monument to Mãe Preta/ Igreja São Benedito.
