Honoring the Brazilian artistic mix, the dancer and manipulator Maria Eugênia Tita shares the scene with the friendly and charming Cabeção (Big Head). Inspired by the tradition of big-head puppets from the city of São Caetano de Odivelas, in Pará, the character proposes a journey through Brazilian popular culture and invites the audience to dance and laugh.

Cabeção celebrates its coming of age at the Bienal Sesc de Dança in a new musical version of its performance, which emphasizes tipical Brazilian dances such as “frevo”, “cavalo marinho”, “caboclinho” and “capoeira”. Accompanied by a minimal and diverse music group, formed by accordion, cavaquinho (a string instrument), and percussion, Cabeção and Tita command, together with the musicians Alissom Lima and Cimara Fróis, a repertoire of dancing duos and live music based on the use of pedals and the participation of the audience.

The character has been a partner of the artist since 2005. It was created for the show “Nove de Frevereiro”, by Antônio Nóbrega, who also signs the conception of this performance alongside Rosane Almeida. With the great reception of the audience, Cabeção went around the world and became an independent attraction, with its performative acts.
