The show by Korean choreographer Kim Bora, artistic director of the Art Project BORA group, celebrates the liberation of the female body and questions gender roles, addressing the woman’s body as a subject, capable of being seen and touched in its original form and not manipulated as an idea or a fetish object.

Tensioning the symbolic constructions of the feminine and the expressiveness of the memory constructed by each dancer, the artist explores the body through abstract images that flirt with the fantastic and visually structure the female genitalia through choreography.

On stage, the dancers manipulate their bodies using strings – as if they were puppets – and gradually get rid of the shackles and give new contours to their bodies. Traditional gestures from Asian culture, such as placing the palms together in front of the chest and bowing, blend with contemporary dance movements and create a feast of images for the senses.
