Standing – From the “CapEngar” of Bipedia
The wheels on the feet make explicit a tiring act: standing costs! In this solo, the performer and video artist Estela Lapponi investigates the numerous ways to stay stand. Creator of the decolonial concept of the “intruding body”, the artist explores the scenic discourse of the body with disabilities, the performative and relational practice, and the transit between visual and scenic languages.

Falling
The performance by the choreographer, dancer and teacher Eduardo Fukushima revolves around “before the fall”: he argues that one only falls twice in life, at birth and at death – the rest is staging. A researcher of Chinese and Japanese body techniques, the artist elaborates a dance before the first step on the edge of the abyss, exploring up-down vectors, and looking for ways to dance the imbalance in thousands of micro falls in the body.

Sitting
Sit down, take a seat, straighten up, wait, be silent, rest, watch, listen, talk. Luis Ferron’s performance questions where and with whom to sit. The dance artist has as an inspiring motto for his creations the research and the transit through the plots of a Brazilian corporeality composed of memories, beliefs, cultures and accents.

Spinning
The spinning time recalls the experiences of childhood and appreciates the movements of now, without end: it is beginning, middle, and beginning again. In the performance, Silvana de Jesus weaves a spiral dance in which circle games, swings and mandingas fit. Idealizer of the creative process DançAdinkra, Silvana has been an artist and educator for 20 years, working with collectives such as Batakerê, Gumboot Dance Brasil and Protagonistas.
