A group of connected bodies articulates and disarticulates on stage. The choreographic architecture defines a moment in time and space, and questions notions of autonomy and resistance by interrupting flows, displacing identities and rubbing boundaries. The firm and porous figure composed by the performers has the collective practice as a foundation, as in the barricades of real life.

The barricades are popular tactics of insurrection that emerged in the sixteenth century. They are made with the improvised agglomeration of any material displaced from its functionalities to form a single and plural organism. Built as a confrontational movement, they also operate as protection for a given community.

Created by the choreographer Marcelo Evelin and the Demolition Incorporated Platform, the performance proposes to think of proximity as a defense strategy and being together as a political position. The project has been under development since 2019 and has been presented in Brazil and countries such as Japan, Belgium, Uruguay, Spain, France, and Portugal. At the Bienal Sesc de Dança, the cast was formed by local artists, through a public call for an artistic residency with Marcelo Evelin, in addition to the performance.
